POLL: Should Prince Harry wish Prince William a happy birthday | Royal | News

Prince William is celebrating his 43rd birthday today, with the royal said to likely be spending his special day alongside his wife and children. Taking to their social media platforms, King Charles and the Princess of Wales have publicly sent birthday message to William – although many have been left wondering whether Prince Harry will send a message from the US.

Kensington Palace released a picture earlier this morning of William surrounded by his furry friends – including his family’s beloved pup Orla. The picture was taken in Windsor by the Princess of Wales earlier this month.

The caption alongside of the picture read: “Happy birthday! Love C, G, C, L, Orla and the puppies! [dog-paw emoji].”

Taking to the Royal Family’s official social media platforms, the King’s message to his eldest son read: “Happy Birthday to the Prince of Wales [red-balloon emoji] [party-popper emoji].”

The once-close brothers have been feuding for some time, with William said to no longer be on speaking terms with the 40-year-old.

The feud escalated further after Harry made the decision to step down as a senior working royal in 2020 – before voicing his feelings towards the Firm and his family via the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Netflix series and his bombshell memoir Spare.

In Spare, Harry recalled the “red mist” that he saw in his brother on the day they had the infamous “dog bowl” fight which saw Harry cut his back.

Speaking to ITV in 2023, the Duke claimed his brother “wanted me to hit him back” during an altercation which he alleged took place in Nottingham Cottage in 2019.

William was born on June 21, 1982, at St Mary’s Hospital, to the then-Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana.

The royal’s full name is William Arthur Philip Louis – with his first name said to be a poignant tribute to Prince William of Gloucester.
