Prince Andrew was royally skewered in the latest episode of Spitting Image. The hit show is back with a brand new series called Spitting Image: The Rest Is Bulls*!t, with new episodes released every Friday.
The series was one of the most-watched shows in Britain in the 1980s, running from 1984 – 1996 and from 2020 to 2022. Its “brand new era” consists of “short-form vodcast episodes” which will be “ideal entertainment for anyone with a 21st century attention span”. Prince Harry is leading each episode alongside Paddington Bear, but the latest one also focused on Prince Andrew and the scandals he’s been linked to.
In the new footage, the Duke of York’s puppet appears to be speaking for a podcast, with a microphone placed in front of him as he sits in what appears to be his office.
The show satirises the Duke’s links to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, a relationship which led to his fallout in 2019. Andrew has always denied any allegations against him.
The puppet says in the episode: “Welcome peasants! This is the diary of a professional eminent duke and orator [Diary of a P.E.D.O.].
“And I have to say, the old diary was looking a bit empty after Charlie’s Christmas invite to the palace got cancelled. No problem, P.Diddy’s invited me over. Oh, looks like he’s not going to be free now either.”
The sketch is referencing the latest reports which claimed the King will no longer be inviting Andrew and his former wife, Sarah Ferguson, to Sandringham for Christmas, as per royal tradition, following the bombshells about their links to the disgraced financier.
Elsewhere, Andrew’s puppet says, “Honestly, you can’t even take female friends across state lines anymore.
“Now, your butler may have told you I was named in the Epstein files for a massage payment. Let me explain. Massage, no, mass-age was short for massive ageism, which I’m thoroughly against.
“I may be 65, but I always felt a teenager. And so ‘Andrew mass-age’ was for a charity helping to stamp out massive ageism. Glad that’s all sorted. Nothing like a happy ending.
“Just like those schoolgirl massages that I’ve (mumbling) recently heard about and would never have indulged in.”
News Prince Andrew had been named in released Epstein files as a passenger on the late sex offender’s private jet emerged in September. Being named in the files isn’t a suggestion of wrongdoing.
