Prince George just weeks away from big childhood milestone | Royal | News

Prince George is just weeks away from a big childhood milestone which is likely to make Prince William and Princess Kate emotional. While the family of five are currently spending quality time together over the summer holidays, the return of school runs – something both William and Kate do – is not too far away.

With Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven, all students at Lambrook school, they are set to return to the classroom within weeks. This is because Lambrook School’s Michaelmas Term – the first term of the school year – starts on September 3. Although returning to school after the summer holidays is something most kids are familiar with, this year marks a big childhood milestone for George, who is second-in-line to the throne.

This is because the start of term in September will also mark the start of the prince’s last year at Lambrook School.

After this next academic year, George will have to wave goodbye to Lambrook – the school he has attended with his siblings since September 2022 – and move on to the next level of his education.

This will be a big change for the prince and his siblings Charlotte and Louis, who are no doubt used to seeing their older brother around the school grounds.

While Kensington Palace are yet to confirm what educational institution George will attend after Lambrook, it has been widely reported that it is likely to be Eton College – a boarding school not far from the family’s Windsor home.
