Prince William has been dubbed “cool” by royal fans after his latest appearance on Saturday afternoon. The Prince of Wales, 42, stepped out solo at Wembley Stadium yesterday to watch Manchester City and Crystal Palace play in the Emirates FA Cup Final.

The prince, who is Patron of The Football Association and an avid football fan, greeted players before the game. He then gave Crystal Palace the FA Cup trophy at the end of the match as they secured victory.

Royal fans have since praised the prince, dubbing him “cool” for his appearance at the major sporting event.

One fan wrote on Instagram: “He’s not a regular prince, he’s a cool prince.”

Another said: “He is a huge football fan through and through and enchants the players with magic. That’s our cool William. A king of the future!!!”

A third wrote: “Love seeing HRH William The Prince of Wales out there greeting all the players. He’s amazing, as always, and pumps up everyone!”

Someone else said: “Prince William is the ultimate football fan and we are here for it.”

The prince took to social media after the match to congratulate Crystal Palace on their victory.

He wrote: “Congratulations @cpfc on a brilliant FA Cup victory! A historic win and a performance to remember. The support was amazing, you’ve made your fans proud!”

The Prince of Wales is a keen football fan and is well-known for being an Aston Villa supporter, often being spotted in the stands of matches with his eldest son Prince George, 11.

He is believed to have supported the team since childhood, with George appearing to be following in his father’s footsteps.
