Princess Beatrice’s stepson is learning a new skill – and is treated with gaming reward | Royal | News

Princess Beatrice’s stepson Wolfie is learning a new skill that not many nine-year-olds can do. Taking to Instagram today, Wolfie’s mum American architect Dara Huang revealed that Wolfie, the son she shares with her ex-husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, is trying to speak, read and write Chinese.

Wolfie, who spends time with his mum, as well as his dad and stepmum Princess Beatrice, is reportedly learning Chinese on the Duolingo language app. In exchange for his learning time, the nine-year-old is rewarded with Robux, which is reportedly the in-game currency that gamers use in Roblox.

Taking to Instagram with a video of Wolfie using the language learning app, Dara wrote: “I’m that Asian parent that insists Wolfie learns to speak, read and write Chinese.”

She continued: “His main motivation is I exchange completed Chinese Duolingo classes for Robux.

“The money drainer starting to become a good investment.”

Dara split up from Edoardo in 2018, with the pair having co-parented Wolfie ever since.

Edoardo, 41, then went on to marry Princess Beatrice in 2020, who he now shares two daughters with.

Wolfie is believed to be close with both his parents, as well as his stepmother Beatrice, 36.

In 2021, the princess, 36, wrote an essay for The Standard where she spoke about her enjoyment at being a step mum.

She wrote: “This year, I had the great honour to become a stepmother, and have had the most remarkable time going back over some of my most favourite stories at bedtime.”
