Princess Kate and Prince William share family photo after ‘brilliant’ Trooping the Colour | Royal | News

The Prince and Princess of Wales have shared a personal new snap of their family in a behind-the-scenes style photo after Trooping the Colour.

Princess Kate, Prince William and their three children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, are stood smiling together in a sweet family snap.

The post is captioned: “Another brilliant day at Trooping the Colour for His Majesty’s Birthday Parade. Thank you to everybody who came, and to all those who took part.”

Thousands descended on central London for Trooping the Colour, an annual event to celebrate the King’s birthday. Earlier, the royals paraded along the Mall, accompanied by soldiers and a marching band. This year, King Charles has asked members of the Royal Family taking part in the parade to wear black armbands, as a mark of respect to the victims of the Air India plane crash.

Fans have flocked to social media to comment on the new photo. One royal family fan wrote: “What a beautiful picture. Hard to believe how big the children are getting. Thank you for sharing your family with us. It’s been wonderful seeing them go from babies to double digits for some of them.”

Another added: “It was a truly magnificent day! Thank you all!”

One social media user said: “What a beautiful family shot! Could easily be the 2025 Xmas card picture!”

One X user wrote: “Such a Beautiful and blessed family. Great day and weather. Hope you all enjoyed it and had a good time! Thank you for recognizing those affected by the Air India crash as well. Bless always.”

A fan wrote: “You’re such a beautiful and adorable family. Looking at the picture makes me teary.

The military ceremony held in celebration of the King’s official birthday took place on June 14, marking the third Trooping of the Colour with King Charles as Monarch.

Charles attended his first ever Trooping the Colour in 1951, when he was just three years old. Now, aged 76, he celebrated alongside his children and grandchildren.

Kate stepped out in an Aquamarine Catherine Walker coat dress, with sculpted shoulders and an asymmetric lapel. Charlotte, who rode in the carriage to Buckingham Palace next to her mother, donned a turquoise-coloured dress with a white waistband and white ballet flats.

George and Louis looked smart in matching suits, with white shirts and red ties. Meanwhile, Prince William, who trained in the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force, was in full military regalia.
