Prison officer’s ‘throat slashed’ as GB News uncovers surge in violent attacks behind Britain’s bars

British prisons have witnessed a spate of extreme violence in recent days following other incidents involving Southport killer Axel Rudakubana and Manchester Arena bomber Hashem Abedi.

GB News can reveal that a prison officer had their throat slashed with an improvised weapon at HMP Woodhill, a Category B clink in Milton Keynes.

In a separate incident at the same jail, another officer was attacked by an inmate detained under the Terrorism Act 2008.

The Prison Officers’ Association has also reported that a prison officer had a TV thrown at him and a female officer sustained a broken arm after a prisoner attacked them while pretending to have an epileptic fit at Gartree Prison.

GB News understands that there was a serious assault at HMP Hewell on Friday, where an officer was headbutted.

Sources told the People’s Channel that the officer had his face split and his PAVA spray taken off him and used against responding officers.
