Royal Family LIVE: Huge Beatrice and Eugenie decision will leave Andrew ‘cheesed off’ | Royal | News

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor may be left feeling “cheesed off” with his family this Christmas as Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie decide who to spend the festive period with. The pair attended the annual pre-Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, which marked the first time they had been seen with the Royal Family since their parents were stripped of their royal titles.

Speaking to the Daily Mail Royals on YouTube, Royal author Andrew Lownie said the “sensible thing” for the Princesses to do is to “cut themselves loose” this Christmas. He said: “Everyone is looking to see what happens at Christmas and who goes where. Andrew, I think will feel a little cheesed off, like last year, that he is not allowed to join everyone. He lacks a complete sense of self awareness. You would think he would want to keep his distance seeing the reaction he got at the Duchess of Kent’s funeral.

With Christmas just around the corner, Beatrice and Eugenie face a difficult decision as Andrew and Sarah are not invited to Sandringham.

Mr Lownie continued: “There are plenty of options for Andrew – he can have a rioter’s party at Royal Lodge with his wife, with his friends, with his children. That of course is the big question: Where will Beatrice and Eugenie go? Will they side with the Royal Family… will they show some family loyalty, given the strained relations, particularly with their father? Or will they, as I suspect, basically cut themselves loose and just do something with their in-laws or their own family? That would be the sensible thing.”
