Meghan Markle has been criticised by a royal commentator for being “disconnected from reality” following her latest business ventures. The Duchess of Sussex has launched a number of various endeavours this year, including her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, her lifestyle brand, As Ever and a podcast series, Confessions of a Female Founder. She’s also recently made headlines over returning to acting as she was spotted filming a new movie, Close Personal Friends, where she will play herself.
But a royal commentator has said that a lot of the things that Meghan does are just for “great headlines” and that the only positive coverage she receives is due to “carefully crafted” wins like some of her brand launches selling out within minutes. NewsNation’s Paula Froelich told Kinsey Schofield’s programme: “Nobody has said that she is a great business person; there’s just a disconnect, really. Between what’s going on and that cavernous mansion in Montecito.”
Meghan is due to release a Christmas special for her Netflix series on December 3.
