San Francisco is the worst

The New York Post reports,

San Francisco has been ranked at the bottom of a new report by a financial services company [WalletHub] ranking the best and worst-run cities in the country.

The City by the Bay stands in good company, according to the Post,

The next worst-run cities after San Francisco were Detroit (147th), Oakland (146th), New York City (145th), Philadelphia (144th), and Baltimore (143rd).

So, California Gov. Gavin Newsom managed to place two of his cities in the bottom three, nationally. You will recall that Newsom served as San Francisco’s 42nd Mayor from 2004 to 2011.

The city itself was founded in 1850, preceding the establishment of the state by about five months.

The WalletHub study ranked Provo, Utah, as the best-run city in America.

California cities feature heavily in WalletHub’s bottom tier, holding the slots at #121, 126-128, 130, and 138-141. Los Angeles was at #139. At least the weather’s nice.

Somehow, Minneapolis managed to rank at 72, scraping into the top half. Go figure.
