Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem took no prisoners, blasting sanctuary politicians like Illinois Democrat Governor JB Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson for failing to keep the people in their state safe, and bringing the receipts.
During a press conference on Friday, Noem gave four examples of the disgusting criminals ICE agents recently took off the streets in Illinois, after the state operated as a sanctuary for illegal criminal aliens.

Noem said that since President Donald Trump took office, DHS has arrested “hundreds of thousands” of illegal criminals, before she explained that she was in the state of Illinois because elected officials like Pritzker and Johnson are “ignoring the law.”
“They are being obstructionist when it comes to getting dangerous criminals off of their streets,” Noem said. “They’re deciding that dangerous criminals that are murderers, rapists, money launderers, have committed assaults, that are trafficking children, are more important than the families that live in the communities here.”
“They’d rather be a sanctuary state and continue to put those individuals above American citizens who built this country,” she added. “Who’ve raised their families here for generations and just want to be able to walk down the street safely at night, put their kids to bed, and live a peaceful life.”
The DHS Secretary then provided four examples of people who had recently been taken off the street in the state, thanks to the work of ICE agents.

-Hector Bonaparte-Contraras, an illegal Mexican alien previously convicted of predatory, sexual criminal assault against a victim under the age of 13.

She pointed out that if the left-wing politicians like Pritzker and Johnson had their way, these individuals would still be out on the street today.
“Over and over again, they’re choosing criminals,” Noem said. “In just the last 7 months, ICE has issued over 1,664 detainers in Chicago alone… unfortunately, Chicago and its leadership has only honored 8% of those.”
On Friday, the DHS Secretary also pointed out that ICE agents are under assault trying to keep Americans safe.
