Mr Key, who has two children with 33-year-old Assisi Jackson, granddaughter to the Rolling Stones star, was last seen in a local cub after he went missing in the Boscastle area.

The police is yet to carry out a formal identification. A statement from Devon and Cornwall Police reads: “Police searching for a missing man from Boscastle have located the body of a man at Bude. “Formal identification is yet to be carried out but officers believe the person to be 37-year-old Alexander Key who was reported missing on 24 January. His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

“Mr Key’s family has thanked police and HM Coastguard for their efforts, along with all those who assisted in the search for him. They have asked for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time.”
