Sky Replay has been around in some guise for around 22 years. Launched in 2002 as Sky One Mix, it went through several rebrands, including Sky Mix two years after its debut, Sky Two in 2005, and then Sky Replay in summer 2020. And now, five years on, it has been shuttered by the satellite broadcaster.

With the relaunch as Sky Replay, the paid-for channel was designed to operate alongside Sky Max and Sky Witness, repeating some of the biggest hits from those channels so viewers had a second chance to catch a must-see episode.

Some of the Sky TV shows that you’d find filling the schedule on Sky Replay were the likes of Bondi Rescue, Highway Patrol, Paramedics, Freddie Down Under, and 911 Crisis Centre. On its website, Sky described the channel as a mixture of comedy and drama.

With the channel gone from your TV Guide, there has been a reshuffle of the remaining channel numbers. If you’re watching on the newest hardware from the British brand — Sky Glass Gen 2, Sky Glass Air, or Sky Stream — with its Sky Ultimate TV package will find Sky Max has moved to Ch. 109 and Sky Witness is now Ch. 107.

If you want to watch something that’s currently airing on the channel at a later time or date (the exact use-case of Sky Replay) simply press the + button to save shows to their Playlist to watch whenever.

Not only that, Playlist will bring together every episode of a series into a single menu — even if the show is spread across multiple streaming services with different subscriptions. Your progress in the show will be synchronised across devices.

For Sky Q customers, Sky Max sits at channel 113, whilst Sky Witness remains on channel 107. You can record anything you fancy watching later, or simply catch up through the on-demand service whenever you’ve got time.

If your Sky-branded kit is connected to the internet, many of the shows that used to air on Sky Replay are available to watch on demand. You won’t lose any content with the disappearance of Sky Replay.
