From the U.K. Sun,
TRAIN BLOODBATH Huntingdon stabbing LIVE: British man, 32, treated as sole suspect – as ‘heroic’ member of train staff fights for life.
Details,
In an update this evening cops confirmed a 32-year-old British national, who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following the bloody rampage, is now being treated as the only suspect.
You may recall that another, unnamed 35-year-old man described as being of “Caribbean descent” was also detained. The older man from London has been released.
No name or identifying information on the man still in detention has been revealed.
Another classic from the Associated Press (AP),
Police seek a motive but say it’s not terror:
Police Supt. John Loveless said counterterror police were initially called in to support the investigation, but that “at this stage, there is nothing to suggest that this is a terrorist incident.”
He said the investigation is being led by British Transport Police, and “it would not be appropriate to speculate on the cause of this incident.”
He would say that, wouldn’t he.
As for motive, they are positive that they know what it isn’t but have no clue as to what it is.
Best of luck to you taking public transport in the future.
