Springsteen Making a Cash Grab Over Insulting Overseas Rant on Trump Already Backfiring – RedState

Last week, musician and unapologetic liberal lackey Bruce Springsteen unleashed an unhinged rant while performing overseas, as we previously wrote, filled with pathetic and hateful political posturing about the Reconciliation bill, bashing both President Donald Trump and Republicans, at a U.K. concert with the E Street Band on May 14.

RedState’s Katie Jerkovich wrote that Springsteen “… used his time on stage in Manchester to slam the president as ‘unfit’ in what he called ‘dangerous times,’ according to a video on his website.”

In just one part of the three-part screed, the singer told the crowd, “In my home, the America I love, the America I’ve written about, that has been a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years, is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous administration.”

The president did not sit quietly, and others, including comedian and Fox News host Greg Gutfeld, also took part in eviscerating “The Boss” for his actions.

Then on Monday this week, Trump threw out a question in a Truth Social post that is on some minds about potential irregularities with former Vice President Kamala Harris’ 2024 presidential campaign coffers, saying he would welcome a “major investigation” over whether her paying performers/celebrities like Springsteen, Beyonce, and others for endorsements and appearances was on the up-and-up:

In a fiery rant posted May 19 on Truth Social, Trump said he plans to call for a “major investigation” into Harris’ celebrity endorsements, including by Bruce Springsteen, Oprah Winfrey and Beyoncé. He alleged Beyoncé received $11 million to walk on stage and show her support during a Harris’ rally in Houston.

George Clooney could not be reached for comment.

Bruce, though, isn’t letting his current cache among the progressive set go to waste, with a tone deaf move that’s an unbelievable attempt at a cash grab: the release this week of a new EP that intersperses his acrid antics on a foreign concert stage with his songs:

Mr. Springsteen, undeterred, released a six-track EP this week which begins with his remarks that America “is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration.”

The new EP, “Land of Hope & Dreams,” offers a mix of songs and Mr. Springsteen’s pointed political remarks from his May 14 concert in Manchester, England.

In the introduction to the song “My City of Ruins,” Mr. Springsteen takes on a somber tone, telling the audience that in the United States the authorities were “persecuting people for using their right to free speech and voicing their dissent.” He said that the nation was cutting aid to the poor, abandoning allies, rolling back civil rights protections, defunding universities and deporting people without due process.

Sadly for him, it’s most likely that his 15 minutes of adulation from the Left for his approved barking at the alleged Hitler/authoritarian wannabe named Donald Trump will fail to succeed in gaining him anything of value.

And guess what? This oh-so-brave virtue signaling stunt “The Boss” pulled in the U.K. is already backfiring on him as a NJ bar owner just pulled the plug on related entertainment he’d hired for his place–a Springsteen cover band with nearly two decades of playing:

Shortly after Springsteen kicked off his European tour with harsh words about the Trump administration on May 14, bandleader Brad Hobicorn started receiving concerned text messages from bar owner Tony Rivoli, Hobicorn told NJ Advance Media Thursday morning

On Sunday, Rivoli texted Hobicorn to say the gig was canceled, saying it was “too risky at the moment,” citing his restaurant’s conservative customer base.

Hobicorn offered to have his band play only non-Springsteen, classic-rock covers. But Rivoli balked at paying $2,500 for a classic-rock cover band as opposed to a Springsteen-specific group.

The bar owner replied that, unfortunately, his establishment couldn’t afford the price hike. “Now because Bruce can’t keep his mouth shut we’re screwed,” Rivoli texted to the band member.

Remember that the (Dixie) Chicks’ soaring career in country music never recovered from their rude statements about another GOP  president either, ‘ lo these many years later.

These are people who obviously live in another universe from the rest of us, where they believe everyone who agrees with them is on the “good” side, and there are no consequences for one’s actions. It’s most likely that Springsteen’s record sales and future live attendance numbers will tell a different story. And that’s no one’s fault but his own.
