Here in Minneapolis, Minnesota, we are gearing up for another Summer of Love, five years after George Floyd. You can feel it in the very air we breathe, which is currently full of smoke from out-of-control Canadian wildfires.
In today’s latest international-newsworthy incident, the U.K. Daily Mail reports,
Chaos in Minneapolis as sweeping police raid descends into violence.
The FBI went down to the infamous East Lake Street in south Minneapolis, near the epicenter of the 2020 George Floyd riots. Agents were there this afternoon to execute a court-ordered search warrant, in a high-risk criminal drugs and money laundering case.
Given the geography, the FBI wasn’t kidding around: Homeland Security and ATF agents were there for backup, with logistical support from the local police and Sheriff’s office. The FBI took no chances, bringing more than enough manpower, firepower, and horsepower.
But with DHS personnel involved, and the site being at or near a Mexican restaurant, false reports went out to the local activist community that a massive ICE raid was in progress.

With the state’s AWOL governor traveling the country telling everyone that ICE is an American Gestapo, kidnapping citizens off the street and deporting them to Central American torture prisons, you can see why folks back home are a little on edge.
