Prime Minister Netanyahu sat for an interview with Bret Baeir on Fox News yesterday. I have posted the video below. As of this morning, it has nearly 4,000,000 views on YouTube. It is certainly worth your time.
Power Line readers can draw their own inferences from Netanyahu’s responses to Baier’s questions. I will limit myself to two points. Netanyahu needs the continuing support of President Trump and the Fox News audience. That’s why he took the time out from his rather crowded schedule for the interview. And Netanyahu appears to have aged a couple of years in the past two weeks. He carries the weight of Jewish history on his shoulders. This is the moment toward which his life has been aimed for a very long time.
Which reminds me. I was part of a small group that included Andrew Breitbart (at the far left in the photo below) and Larry Solov (next to Andrew) in a meeting with Netanyahu at his office in Tel Aviv in the summer of 2007. In our meeting we talked almost entirely about the challenge Iran presented to Israel.
Fern Oppenheim was our group leader. She snapped the photo above at the conclusion of our meeting with Netanyahu. Everywhere we went the doors opened for Fern. However, I don’t think the officers with whom we met at Israel’s Ministry of Defense ever quite figured out how we got in or what we were doing there.
