The ‘Trans’ Movement Is Almost Over Now – RedState

It was always doomed to end at some point.

The transgender movement is something that was always going to die eventually. It was far too unnatural and overdramatic for its own good. Its insistence that we obey every whim and take every outburst seriously was asking way too much of society.

And more than that, the open threat and decleration of them coming for our children, for one reason or another, was only ever going to result in society bucking them off like a bad rodeo rider.

But as it turns out, one of the biggest reasons transgenderism is dying is because transgender people themselves are just giving up on being the opposite sex.

According to recent data from Germany, treatments for gender dysphoria are spiraling downward, especially among females.

The data shows “persistence” rates — the continued diagnosis of individuals, including children who have been prescribed treatments for their transitioning — are falling off, and are now below 50 percent. Women especially have the lowest persistence rates at 27.3 percent, with desistance at 72.7 percent.

Men tend to continue being transgender more, with the highest persistence rate at nearly 50 percent between the ages of 20-24.

The full post reads:

“The detrans rate is less than 1%” ….Germany National Data: Gender Dysphoria Dx*

Persistence was below 50%

Lowest persistence: 27.3% among females aged 15–19 years

→ 72.7% non-persistence/desistance in the adolescent female group

Highest persistence: 49.7% among males aged 20–24 years.

*Consider the thousands who desisted before Dx

This means that half of men, and nearly three-quarters of women, who claimed to have gender dysphoria don’t claim to have it at all to their doctors.

And Germany isn’t alone.

The Netherlands and the United States both show desistance patterns.

To be clear, desistance doesn’t necessarily mean they’ve stopped identifying as transgender, but it’s safe to say that one can assume the lack of treatment has meant a lack of actual care or, at least, intensity in concern will only lead to even an more increased lack of concern down the line.

The fad is fading. Society has largely rejected it, and now all that’s left is for those who initially accepted it, for one reason or another, to move on from it too.

Of course, you didn’t have to be Nostradamus to see this coming. Even in the earliest days, you could see how destructive the transgender movement was, especially to children.

As I wrote back in 2024, one of the pioneering researchers who studied transgenderism in the youth was raising the alarm bells about transgenderism being something a lot deeper since back in 2015:

Some came from families with multiple psychosocial problems. Most of them had challenging early childhoods marked by developmental difficulties, such as extreme temper tantrums and social isolation. Many had academic troubles. It was common for them to have been bullied—but generally not regarding their gender presentation. In adolescence they were lonely and withdrawn. Some were no longer in school, instead spending all their time alone in their room. They had depression and anxiety, some had eating disorders, many engaged in self-harm, a few had experienced psychotic episodes. Many—many—were on the autism spectrum.

When Finland’s Dr. Riittakerttu Kaltiala raised the alarm, she was told to effectively keep it to herself by the global medical community. Sure enough, it became a trend. As I wrote in 2021, Planned Parenthood whistleblowers were talking about how young girls would come into the clinics and start hormone treatments with little to no real reason why. They seemed to be treating it the same as going to get your ears pierced.

Most interesting to me was the fact that, according to the employee, the girls would often arrive to the clinic with a group of friends. (For what other medical treatments do girls arrive with peer group in tow?) It smacked more of the gleeful trips teen girls once took to the mall for ear piercings than the sober medical treatment of a genuine mental health disorder.

It was, for all intents and purposes, the popular thing to do.

But now, we’re seeing the trans fad die, and good riddance. Transgenderism was one of the most destructive things to happen to the youth since Ritalin.
