(LifeSiteNews) — On this week’s episode of Frankly, LifeSite journalist Frank Wright discusses the ongoing “de-transition” of our society — not only from the LGBT agenda but from the entire state-sponsored liberal order.
Wright began the episode by delving into how our current morally bankrupt society began its decay during World War I, with state-sponsored cultural warfare branded as “liberal democracy.”
“(Liberal democracy) was a war system from the beginning, and its purpose was twofold in prosecuting war,” he said. “One, it sponsored cultural warfare at home and abroad to replace all your traditions, all your meaning, your belief in reality, your belief in God, your relations with other human beings, with itself.”
“At the same time, you may have noticed that there’s always a war going on; this has been described as forever war. But the wars that have been going on for the last hundred years increasingly have seemed rather suspicious,” he added. “They’ve been sold to us as the necessary price of spreading democracy and our values. … Of course, our benevolent leaders never actually explain what our values are. They simply ruin your life if you ever ask that question.”
The journalist noted that the rise of liberal democracy and its forever wars ultimately led to our “grotesque” contemporary society in which the most basic realities are denied, such as the divine authority of God and there being only two genders.
“If you look at the modern superstitions that we have to live by, you’ll notice that at the heart of them, there’s nothing there. It all looks very glamorous from a distance, but when you get up close, it begins to look grotesque,” he said. “If you try to look inside into what kind of meaning it supplies, there’s not only nothing there, (but) it actually subtracts meaning from your life.”

Wright continued, “(Modern society) undermines the idea that there can be a reality, that there can be facts, that there can be a natural order, and that there can be a God who created it. It is a war with the divine authority of the Lord Himself. It is expressly anti-Christian; it seeks to replace all other explanations with itself.”
A bit later in the episode, Wright stressed that the Western world has become eerily similar to the hypernormalization in the Soviet Union, where the people were afraid to deny the government’s narrative and lived in fear of “disappearing” to Siberia.
“Much as people now disappear … for saying things on Twitter, basically expressing strong dislike of the government’s policies of national suicide,” he said. “You can disappear into one of their state gulags for this, you can see your bank accounts frozen. … So we can see the similarities between the late Soviet Union and now.”
“If you oppose the state and its madness … then you know that they can and probably will try to ruin you,” he added. “This is called hypernormalization, where you are obliged by the state power to not openly disbelieve in the lies they are telling you about reality. And to not complain too much about how they’ve made your life a living hell.”
But Wright underscored that we’re now passed the point of hypernormalization and our society is beginning to “de-transition” from the liberal order because state sponsorship of endless wars, open borders, and the LGBT agenda is finally coming to an end.

“The interdigitation of the trans culture and the state administration is being shut down … reality and normality are returning to public office. What I’m telling you is that nobody went out in the streets except for sponsored mobs to demand all this madness,” he said. “It was sponsored, the rainbow agenda, the open borders, the permanent wars, they were sponsored by the liberal state. The sovereign power of the West is no longer a liberal state. It is not sponsoring them anymore. The United States has shut down its international sponsorship of social revolution.”
The journalist continued, “That was one of the arms, as I remind you, of the bipartite permanent war empire that was the liberal global project from the start. It prosecuted war on your civilization at home by sponsoring insane social revolutions to destroy the family, to remove the cohesion of the national family and the national tribe and the nation itself, and replace it with a bunch of antagonistic factions who hate each other so much there can never be any coherent counter-argument to the explanations or lies of the state religion.”
