Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) got schooled after she endorsed Democratic socialist New York City mayoral candidate Zohram Mamdani’s plans for taxing billionaires, government-owned grocery stores, and more.
During her appearance on CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street” on Monday, the host cautioned Warren about Mamdani’s plans to tax the billionaires and said if he wins, they will leave and take the jobs and wealth with them.

“But raising taxes in order to do it?! Why is that the answer?” the host asked.
“Oh dear, are you worried that billionaires are going to go hungry?!” Warren said.
The host shot back, “No, I’m worried that they’re going to leave and spend their money elsewhere!”
Warren suggested those were just idle threats, and the host had to point out that, no, they are not.
“And they have!” the host explained. “And Goldman Sachs, when they create new jobs, they do it in Dallas. And Blackstone won’t build a new headquarters. I could go on and on… but if you deal with them in that way, by what is always your backup, just tax them more, they will leave.”
As clueless as the Senator appeared to be about the realities of the radical socialist Democrats’ economic policies, she actually appeared worse when she praised Mamdani’s attempts, she said, to make things like housing more “affordable” with his plans of freezing rent, free childcare, and government-run grocery stores.
“He’s gonna experiment to try to bring down grocery costs and food deserts. God bless him on that,” she added. “He’s going to try something.”

As RedState’s Ward Clark reported, Mamdani’s communist plans to make housing affordable are doomed to fail.
Zohran Mamdani is a classic presentation of this, with his far-left stances including, among other stupid things, rent controls. Another New York Democrat, former Assemblyman Kenny Burgos, is warning the people of New York that Mamdani’s plan is doomed to fail, as these plans always do.
Burgos told Fox News:
A former New York City Democratic assembly member, who now runs the New York Apartment Association, tells Fox News Digital that socialist mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani’s rent freeze plan would be disastrous for the city’s housing crisis.
“His proposal to freeze the rent on rent-stabilized housing, which is almost 40% of housing stock within New York City, a housing stock that is already under the stress by which the NYU Furman Center has categorized as 200,000 units functionally bankrupt. A rent freeze would be the nail in the coffin on this housing stock,” NYAA CEO Kenny Burgos told Fox News Digital.
“So if he’s attempting to achieve affordability, what he’s instead going to achieve is insolvency.”
And Becky Noble recently reported on how government-run grocery stores are not some new experiment as Warren claimed, pointing out how it’s been a disaster everywhere it’s been tried, even right here in the U.S.
She reported on how a city-run grocery store in Kansas City attempted to address so-called “food deserts” and has failed miserably.
Many of the store’s shelves were only partially stocked or not stocked at all. That includes the produce, meat, and dry goods with which the store was supposed to alleviate the need in the neighborhood. As far as prices go, one shopper said that the prices were better compared to other stores, but another stated the obvious: there is hardly anything on many of the store’s shelves.
