Anti-ICE Signal Chats: Walz Administration Implicated, Foreign Funding Revealed

It’s clear that Walz, Frey, and Flanagan want this insurrection to continue because it takes the focus off the massive fraud that’s been occurring in that state, much of it with Walz’s knowledge.

You Thought the Video Was Bad: Anti-ICE Protesters Ambush of MN Cities Church Is Even Worse Than Reported

As the Daily Signal’s Tyler O’Neill surmises, this invasion is an atrocity. Whether through the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division or the lawsuit Cities Church will file against these terrorizers, justice must be served.

Has Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney Made the Dissolution of Canada a Done Deal?

The irony here is just too rich and luxurious to ignore. Carney’s push to become the darling of the Never-Trump international community could end up being the final straw that leads to the inevitable breakup of Canada.

2A Groups Respond After Fatal Shooting of Minneapolis Protester and Concealed Carry Holder

The killing of a Minnesota man who was protesting a Border Patrol immigration enforcement action while carrying a concealed firearm has quickly become a political Rorschach test, particularly on the right, while some voices on the left are suddenly displaying feigned appreciation and support for the Second Amendment.

Minneapolis Police Chief: Yes, the Mob Should Rule

Their claim is that “Minnesota values” trump federal law and the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution. Last I checked, that was the same claim made by the slave states when they seceded.

The Left Doesn’t Want You to Know This About Alex Pretti, the Man the Border Patrol Shot

Yes, he worked as an ICU nurse, but he also chose to involve himself in organized resistance against immigration enforcement, armed and ready for confrontation.

James O’Keefe’s Trip to Minneapolis Was Insane. Here’s What Caught His Attention.

In the meantime, O’Keefe ventured into the city, where he was recognized and was the target of death threats via text. He and his team were also accosted by the mob—it was a wild reporting excursion.

Horatius at the Bridge: One Lone BOP Officer Asks a Damning Question In the Wake of Hotel Ransacking

Maybe what was most disturbing of all, however, was the reaction and response of the Minneapolis Police Department. In short, there was none. No arrests, no rioters hauled away in paddywagons, nothing. Why? because the leadership in the city and the state has ordered them to stand down.

WHAT’S ON TAP?

Today on Capitol Hill…

No formal meetings or hearings set for Monday on the Hill, but the battle this week will be over appropriations for FY26. The House got ‘er done last week, now it’s up to the Senate, where we can expect the Democrats to screech and howl about funding for DHS (because never let a crisis go to waste).

White House What’s Up

On Monday, President Trump participates in a meeting with the Secretary of the Air Force early in the afternoon. After that, he has a couple of policy meetings, followed by a radio interview.

Vice President JD Vance related anecdotal evidence of the abuse federal immigration enforcement agents are facing on the ground in Minneapolis.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt hosts a press briefing at 1:00 PM Eastern.

Keeping Up With the Cabinet

Sec. Commerce – Howard Lutnick — Lutnick caused a stir at last week’s World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, when he let the audience know that the U.S. is done with globalism.

Full Court Press…

We had quite a few court decisions of note over the weekend, including:

  • ✅ Solutions in Hometown Connections v. Noem (funding freeze for immigration services) — 4th Circuit Court of Appeals AFFIRMS district court’s order denying plaintiffs’ motion for preliminary injunction.
  • ✅ Thein v. Trump (diversity visa program) — Judge Sparkle Sooknanan GRANTS admin’s motion to dismiss, DENIES plaintiffs’ motion for preliminary injunction.
  • U.S. v. Raffensperger (voter rolls) — Judge Ashley Royal (Middle District of Georgia) DISMISSES case (without prejudice) for lack of subject matter jurisdiction.
  • ❌ State of Washington v. Dept. of Transportation (terminating funds for EV charging stations) — Judge Tana Lin (Western District of Washington) GRANTS plaintiffs’ motion for summary judgment as to Counts I, II, III; DENIES as to Counts IV, V, VI.
  • ❌ Doe v. Noem (termination of categorical parole programs) — Judge Indira Talwani (Massachusetts) GRANTS plaintiffs’ motion for preliminary injunction.
  • ↔️ Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension v. Noem (access to evidence of 1/24 shooting) — Judge Eric Tostrud (Minnesota) GRANTS plaintiffs’ motion for temporary restraining order.
  • ❌ United Farm Workers v. Noem (Operation Return to Sender) — Judge Jennifer Thurston (Eastern District of California) DENIES admin’s motion for stay pending appeal.

We don’t yet know when the Supreme Court will next be issuing opinions — of course, we’re still anxiously awaiting the Court’s decision on tariffs and the Voting Rights Act. The next round of oral arguments begins the week of February 23rd.

COMING ATTRACTIONS

President Trump will be speaking in Des Moines, Iowa, on Tuesday. On Wednesday, he’ll deliver remarks on Trump Accounts.

MORNING MUSING

Okay — I’m just going to share something that’s been bouncing around my mind over the past day or so, as it ties into what’s going on in Minnesota — or, at least, the underlying (ostensible) reason for the conflict we’re seeing.

Early Sunday morning, I happened upon an X post from an expat who now resides in Italy. She was simply detailing the rules and restrictions she has to abide by in order to reside there legally. I retweeted it because I thought it an interesting point to remember as we have these ongoing arguments over immigration and immigration enforcement here in the U.S.

Then, Sunday night, as I was attempting (attempting) to give my brain a rest and stay unplugged from the news, I was, of course, watching Hallmark. The movie I watched involved a woman who traveled to Italy (as a tourist), but ended up purchasing one of their “1-Euro homes” and renovating it, while seeking legal residency. The hoops she had to jump through and hassles she encountered were just woven into the movie’s storyline (which was, naturally, a romance). In other words, they weren’t the point of the plot, but they were an integral part of it — and not awkwardly so. It was just a given.

So…remind me again — what is it we’re fighting about? (Or, more specifically, what is it the Left is resisting at all costs?)
