It will be a happy day when the last of the left-wing late-night “comedians” is finally off the air. The latest outrage comes from Jimmy Kimmel, who might have been funny once in his life, but if so, I missed it:

Apart from not being in the slightest degree funny, Kimmel’s line doesn’t make sense on its own terms. It’s not as though Mullin had done nothing in his life other than plumbing prior to his appointment to head DHS.
Mullin was a highly successful businessman. Per Wikipedia, he built his family’s tiny plumbing company into “Oklahoma’s largest plumbing service company.” He developed and ultimately sold seven other companies.
Mullin was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2012 and served in the House through 2022. Upon Jim Inhofe’s retirement from the Senate in that year, Mullin ran successfully for his seat. He was elected and has served in the Senate since January 2023. In the Senate, he has been on several committees and subcommittees that are directly relevant to his work as Director of Homeland Security: the Committee on Armed Services, and the Armed Services Subcommittees on Airland, on Emerging Threats and Capabilities, and on Readiness and Management Support.
Mullin is a man of many interests. He had a radio show for a couple of years, and a brief career as a mixed martial arts fighter, during which he was undefeated at 5-0. But forget that, as well as his highly successful career in business. When have the Democrats ever claimed that someone who has been in Congress for 14 years is unqualified for anything?
This kind of absurd slander illustrates how out of ammunition the Democrats–and I do take Kimmel to be a typical Democrat–are.
