In response to the tragic event, friends and family have initiated a fundraiser which has already raised more than £9,600 towards its £10,000 target within just a few days.

A message on the GoFundMe page reads: “13-year-old Nina, the beloved daughter of our friend Justyna, passed away suddenly in the United Kingdom. Justyna is a single mother, and during this unimaginably difficult time, she needs our support to cover the funeral costs and to say a dignified farewell to her daughter. If you can – please support the fundraiser or share it with others.”

Ivan Catlow, the headteacher at Archbishop Temple Church of England High School, expressed his deep sorrow over Nina’s death, stating it is “felt deeply across our entire school community”. He said: “It is with the deepest sadness that we learned the news of the passing of one of our Year 8 pupils, on Monday morning. The loss of a young life is felt deeply across our entire school community.

“In times like these, it is important that we support one another. We have a strong pastoral team and chaplaincy in place, supported by our local clergy, to help pupils and staff as they process this difficult news. Our thoughts and prayers remain firmly with everyone who has been affected by this tragedy.”
