Travelers Rate the Absolute Worst Tourist Spot on the Planet — Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass Hardest Hit – RedState

Doubtless, you’ve experienced a supposed tourist hotspot that wasn’t all that. Maybe it was too hot, maybe your stunning European destination turned out to be stuffed with mobs of people, maybe there were hour-and-a-half lines for whatever it is you wanted to see. We’ve all been there.

But there’s one attraction that people around the globe seem to agree is the worst of the worst, and not surprisingly, it’s in Gavin Newsom’s California. Once a gleaming city that many dreamed of moving to, Los Angeles under Gov. Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass is now a place where people are hell-bent on escaping from.

Pretty much anywhere in Hollywood isn’t a great place for a tourist to visit, unless you’re a nightclub sort and can get into one of the more exclusive joints, but there’s one place you definitely don’t want to go, according to a study by the luggage storage company Stasher:

The Stasher analysis found that, based on their metrics, the Hollywood Walk of Fame was the “worst” tourist destination in the world.

This, Stasher researchers said, is due to multiple factors, the biggest being Google Reviews (the 4-star review the Walk of Fame has on Google is the lowest of the 101 locations in the study) and distance from the airport.

It’s all hat and no cattle, says Stasher’s CEO:

“The Hollywood Walk of Fame’s last-place ranking is a wake up call for travelers who assume famous means great. With a 4.0 Google rating and nearly 40 kilometers from the airport, it’s the perfect example of a tourist trap that trades on reputation rather than actual experience,” Stasher CEO and co-founder Jacob Wedderburn-Day noted.

Trump to California, Newsom: You’re ‘More Corrupt Than Minnesota,’ and We’re Coming for You

OK, it’s far from an airport, and our public transportation stinks compared to other major cities. But that’s not the real reason people aren’t in love with Hollywood Boulevard, is it? Let’s be real, people:

Does that look like a vacation to you? “Come on kids, get ready — let’s go see if we can get mugged!”

In what reads like a parody, a liberal journalist tried to tell us we just don’t understand:

Sure, it’s filthy. Yes, you shouldn’t walk alone there after dark. And of course there are many unsavoury characters flogging outdated and inaccurate maps of celebrity homes. But to dismiss it on these grounds would be to miss the point.

In many ways the Walk of Fame is the encapsulation of Los Angeles — a potent fusion of grime and glamour, a kaleidoscope of popular culture from the past century.

Yeah, sure, pal, but most people’s idea of a vacation isn’t to plunk down their hard-earned money so they can go on a grime tour. Also, what about the people who live around there? They’re supposed to be happy about it because they’re part of your dystopian “kaleidoscope?” Please, get a brain.

We regularly criticize California here, not because we don’t love it, but because we abhor what the progressive zealots like Newsom and Bass are doing to it. We also remind everyone about the issues here to serve as a warning: don’t let this toxicity spread. If you don’t think that’s a clear and present danger, just remember that Joe Biden was your president just a little over a year ago.

But this time, we don’t even have to point out the obvious problems — travelers around the world are doing it for us. And what they’re saying, loud and clear, is that today’s Democrat-dominant California leadership is one big gigantic failure.

Editor’s Note: Gavin Newsom, Karen Bass, and the “progressives” are ruining California.
