The U.S. and Israel have been decimating the Iranian military, and after not even two weeks, they’ve decimated a lot of their capacity to fight back. They’ve destroyed their navy, and they’ve taken functional control of the skies. They’ve taken out a lot of their missiles. They’re even hitting Iran’s internal security forces in brutal strikes, with the help of the Iranian citizens giving them tips, in a brilliant partnership to take down the regime.

Now Trump has made a big announcement about what the U.S. has just done to Kharg Island, seen as central to Iran’s survival; it’s what most of their oil operation goes through.

“Moments ago, at my direction, the United States Central Command executed one of the most powerful bombing raids in the History of the Middle East, and totally obliterated every MILITARY target in Iran’s crown jewel, Kharg Island,” the president wrote in a Truth Social post.
He added that he had “chosen NOT to wipe out the Oil Infrastructure on the Island.”
“However, should Iran, or anyone else, do anything to interfere with the Free and Safe Passage of Ships through the Strait of Hormuz, I will immediately reconsider this decision,” Trump wrote.

Our Weapons are the most powerful and sophisticated that the World has ever known but, for reasons of decency, I have chosen NOT to wipe out the Oil Infrastructure on the Island. However, should Iran, or anyone else, do anything to interfere with the Free and Safe Passage of Ships through the Strait of Hormuz, I will immediately reconsider this decision. During my First Term, and currently, I rebuilt our Military into the Most Lethal, Powerful, and Effective Force, by far, anywhere in the World. Iran has NO ability to defend anything that we want to attack — There is nothing they can do about it! Iran will NEVER have a nuclear weapon, nor will it have the ability to threaten the United States of America, the Middle East or, for that matter, the World! Iran’s Military, and all others involved with this Terrorist Regime, would be wise to lay down their arms, and save what’s left of their country, which isn’t much! So that’s a fascinating strategy from Trump. The president doesn’t take out the oil, so he can still hold that over their heads. He then tells them you have to allow safe passage of the ships, or we will take out your lifeline that you need to survive; it would knock out their economy.
The Iranians tried to play around with the Strait, and this is his way of saying: you just had a “find out” moment.

Will Iran take the hint? If they think logically, they should then ease up and try to negotiate their way out of this. They don’t have a lot of options, apart from using the Strait as a chokepoint at this point. But Trump is now cutting that off.
Now we have to see if there is, in fact, anyone who thinks logically left in control of the country. It’s not clear who that is, or if the new “Supreme Leader” is even alive. There have been conflicting remarks from various leaders before this as to blocking or keeping open the Strait, with the missing cardboard leader Mojtaba Khamenei saying they’re not going to let people through, reportedly. So we’ll have to see if they are able to come together on a response to this and think logically. If not, they’re going to have more “find out” moments.
