Trump makes major MRI results update amid health fears | US | News

US President Donald Trump has announced he will publish the findings of his MRI scan conducted in October.

The health disclosure follows earlier attacks on his predecessor, Joe Biden, and medical worries that plagued his administration and ultimately led to his exit from the previous US election.

The White House has yet to clarify why the US President required an MRI during his medical examination last month.

Trump, nevertheless, informed journalists on Sunday that he would gladly make his MRI findings public.

“If you want to have it released, I’ll release it,” the President stated during a discussion with reporters whilst returning to Washington from Florida.

He claimed that the MRI results were “perfect.”

The US President also revealed to the press on Sunday that he has “no idea” which part of his body received the MRI, whilst bragging that he “aced” other examinations conducted in October.

“It was just an MRI,” he remarked.

“What part of the body? It wasn’t the brain, because I took a cognitive test and I aced it.”

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt has previously stated that the President underwent “advanced imaging” at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center “as part of his routine physical examination”.

She noted that the findings demonstrated Trump continues to be in “exceptional physical health.”

The irony of his supposedly excellent test results is not lost, as less than a year ago, in the run-up to the 2024 election, Trump was casting doubt on the age and health of former US president Joe Biden, who eventually pulled out of the presidential race.

Even recently, Trump has taken swipes at Biden over his health. This jibe came just days after the 47th US president was seen nodding off during an Oval Office event amidst a press briefing on weight-loss drugs.

Trump commented on Biden: “He sleeps all the time – during the day, during the night, on the beach,” he said about Biden, adding: “I’m not a sleeper.”
