From today’s Rasmussen Reporrts,
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 50% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Forty-nine percent (49%) disapprove.
To repeat, more approve than disapprove (50-49). It’s his best result for the month of September, so far. Also today, from The Hill newspaper,
President Trump’s approval rating dropped to its lowest level of his second term in the YouGov/Economist poll released Tuesday.
In the weekly survey, conducted this past weekend, 39 percent of surveyed Americans approve of Trump’s handling of the presidency, down from the 41 percent recorded over the last three weeks and 40 percent recorded in mid-August.
So,. all of the YouGov/Economist data was collected after the assassination of Charlie Kirk. We are to believe that the horrific event caused Trump’s to drop.
It appears that YouGov polls adults rather than likely voters, a much broader demographic than Rasmussen respondents.
Still, the obvious purpose of the poll is to dampen enthusiasm for Trump and his Presidency, rather than an attempt to understand what motivates Americans during this transitional era.
