Tucker calls on the Israeli government

I think Tucker Carlson’s descent into an apparently crazed anti-Semitism is both thinly veiled and highly calculated. Watching the clip below from Megyn Kelly’s interview with him earlier this week, however, I do begin to wonder if he is off his rocker.

The Hudson Institute’s Michael Doran observes with perfect concision: “Asking the Israeli government to call off the Americans who label him an antisemite is proof that he’s an antisemite — but he doesn’t begin to realize it.”

Should I be hurt that I haven’t heard from the Israeli government to encourage my documentation of Tucker’s descent? That I have to do this all on my own, without the assistance of the Israelis?

If Tucker Carlson were nobody, I would be happy to ignore him. But he is far from nobody in the eyes of the Trump administration and the online right. He is someone to whom attention should be paid, if not exactly the attention that he craves.

Quotable quote: “I am showing restraint.”
