Vance Smashes It Out of the Park, Schools Kristen Welker on Redistricting, Illegal Aliens – RedState

During an interview with Kristen Welker on this week’s “Meet the Press,” Vice President JD Vance discussed the redistricting battle involving Texas and California that may draw in other states. Once again, Vance just smashed that one out of the park, crushing the Democrats’ hypocritical posturing about being the victims in the battle.

Vance noted how Democrats had aggressively gerrymandered their states over the past 10 to 20 years.

He used Massachusetts as an example, explaining that, despite 32 percent voting Republican in the state, there was zero federal representation. Vance said all they were trying to do was make things more fair and push back against the Democrats.

Vance explained that Republicans had fewer seats because of Democratic gerrymandering. He also made the point that still many don’t know: that illegal aliens are counted in the census when it comes to apportionment for representation.

Vance said, according to estimates he had seen, California had 5 extra seats that they wouldn’t have had, but for that. His point? Balancing that out is more democratic and more accurate to represent American citizens, without being skewed by illegal aliens.

Welker then claimed that “undocumented” people were not able to vote.

That misses the point. Does she not know, or is she trying to cloud the question? He has to explain that yes, they do count for apportionment, and that’s not fair to American citizens.

I wrote earlier about Democrats’ meltdown over redistricting. Among other reasons, because that may tip the scales in the midterms.

Then, there are additional bad factors for the Democrats, including the massive shifts in party registration and the difference in how much money each party has.

If you fix the census, add one more thing that could make it more representative of the American people (and help the Republicans).

Prepare for the even more meltdowns from the Democrats if President Donald Trump pulls that off.
