2 million jobs from the last 3 years of the Biden admin have now been revised away.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) issued a report today revising job totals from 2024 through March 2025 down by a massive 911,000.
The BLS published a table showing the downward revisions by industry. Two industries actually showed modest gains.
You will not be surprised that the figures for “government” hardly budged.
That wonderful Biden economy that you heard about during the last election never really existed.

The labor market created far fewer jobs than previously thought, according to a Labor Department report Tuesday that added to concerns both about the health of the economy and the state of data collection.
Please note that the vast majority of the data being revised were collected and reported during the Biden Administration. Today’s report says nothing whatsoever about the current state of the economy, but screams volumes about what we were told about the economy, pre-Trump 2.0, which CNBC concedes,
Most of the time span for the report came before President Donald Trump took office, indicating the jobs picture was deteriorating before he began levying tariffs against U.S. trading partners.
The BLS will do a final adjustment for this time period in numbers to be published in February 2026.
JOHN adds: Economist Stephen Moore refers to the Bureau of Labor Statistics as a “random number generator.” Sadly, that is about right. President Trump has fired the former director of the BLS, and appointed economist E.J. Antoni in her place. It can only be an improvement, assuming Antoni is ever confirmed. If the BLS can’t do a better job, it should stop publishing jobs numbers altogether.
