The ‘tomatometer’, which measures the positive reviews rather than the overall amount of reviews, showed that 38% of viewers who expressed their opinion on the site enjoyed the first season – as opposed to just 20% showcasing a positive review of season two.
One reviewer of the second season said: “The biggest change between season one and season two is who doesn’t make the cut and appear in the show – and for me, it was a big loss.”
Another critic wrote: “It’s so boring, so contrived, so effortfully whimsical that, do you know what? In the end, it does become almost fascinating.”
Following series one, a critic wrote: “Why on earth did she feel compelled to put herself — and us — through this horror?”
Although many were critical, some fans shared that they enjoyed the show – with one sharing that they thought Meghan was a “breath of fresh air”.
They wrote: “With Love, Meghan is a breath of fresh air. The Duchess of Sussex is a delightfully joyous homemaker who relishes creating comfort and care through food and community. Watching this show is like a calming movement meditation”, with another adding, “…With Love, Meghan is capable and pleasant.”
Although Netflix or Meghan have not announced a third season, fans are wondering whether it is already in the works. It has been suggested, however, that Meghan is keen on it.
