Karine-Jean Pierre has me daydreaming of the old Anthony Newley/Leslie Bricusse song “What Kind of Fool Am I?” In her case, it should go “What Kind of Fake Am I?,” though “What Kind of Fool Am I?” might do as well.
The former White House spokesliar, KJP found eager consumers of the party line when she whipped up a storm alleging videos of Joe Biden lost in a haze were “deep fakes” and “cheap fakes.” She sought to insulate Biden’s senility from exposure. Like Chico Marx, she sought to persuade us to believe her rather than our own eyes.
What kind of fake is she? KJP now claims she has abandoned the Democratic Party and become an independent. Like Fake Tapper and Alex Thompson, she’s a fake with a book to sell. It doesn’t get any faker than that. To be published next fall, the book is Independent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines.
