Alex Thompson’s Axios story “Biden officials raised concerns with how he issued pardons, used autopen” is in the Axiotic form, but is not what I have come to call Axiotic. It seems to me to contribute to our understanding of the late Politburo regency period of the alleged Biden administration. It adds some disgraceful factual background to what we have come to understand of one disgraceful component of a disgraceful administration:
After the political backlash to President Biden pardoning his son Hunter last Dec. 1, the White House began pushing to find more people to grant clemency to, according to people familiar with the internal dynamics.
“There was a mad dash to find groups of people that he could then pardon — and then they largely didn’t run it by the Justice Department to vet them,” a person familiar with the process told Axios.
Thompson has more and I thought readers might find it of interest.
