Marvel star Mark Ruffalo’s pompous attack on President Donald Trump as a “grifter” and claim that “billionaires are the true villains” in support of illegal immigrants backfired beautifully, as the internet reminded the actor of his tremendous wealth.
It all started when the 57-year-old actor made a post on social media against the ICE raids and deportations. He said in the video from a recent “No Kings” event that “immigrants aren’t the criminals.”
“If you look at the statistics, most of the crimes that are committed in this country are by white people, the non-immigrants,” Ruffalo alleged. “And add to our economy by the billions.”
“We get to see who the true villains are … It’s not the immigrants, it’s the billionaires,” he added. “And it’s time to take our country back from that extreme wealth that has its hands all over the power of the nation.”
Good grief. So, clearly, “The Avengers” star is talking about himself, given the fact that he’s worth approximately $90 million, per Finance Monthly.
It was this fact, among others, that many took to social media to remind him about, slamming his completely “tone-deaf” claims.
“Hollywood star @MarkRuffalo, who is worth about half a billion dollars, proves how completely tone-deaf, un-self-aware and totally hypocritical he is,” one person wrote. “He doesn’t care about immigrants, he cares about his image.”
Another added, “He’s all Bruce Banner [Hulk Hogan] when he’s talking about using other people’s money. But when someone tries to take HIS money, he’s all ‘HULK SMASH!! ‘Typical commie. It’s the OTHER people who need to pay for what I think should happen…”
“I will never for the life of me understand how Mark Ruffalo became a star,” Daily Wire host Megan Basham wrote on X in response to the clip. “He’s incredibly boring, his performances are rarely engaging (unless he’s in a big green man CGI costume [Incredible Hulk]), and his persona is about as generic as it gets. Like this.”
A fourth person wrote, “They say the rich are evil… but they never give away their own money. They say the environment is crashing… but they won’t stop taking private jets. They say the population is too high… but they never sacrifice their own lives.”
While a fifth person opined, “Guy worth an estimated $100 million for playing dress up lectures America on ‘rich people.’ Peak Hollywood tone-deafness.”
In an earlier Instagram post, the Hollywood star took a swipe at Trump and his supporters for wanting to stop illegal immigration.
“You want to get rid of the people who are picking your food, without a care in the world for who is poisoning your bodies with chemicals that aren’t ever meant to be in nature,” Ruffalo wrote. “You want to drive out those who make your life easier but not question those who dull your minds with lies and disinformation meant to confuse you and destroy brotherly and sisterly love for us here? [You’re] pointing your guns in the wrong direction.”
He then claimed “the billionaire up at the top [Trump]” is “stealing you blind, and you are worried about the poorest of the poor ruining your life,” labeling the president a “grifter” without any shred of evidence.

The self-righteous comments were similar to those from CNN’s Ana Navarro, who recently beclowned herself when she said that without illegals, who will milk the cows?
