The Department of Homeland Security has compiled mugshots of a few of our “neighbors” swept up in Operation Metero Surge here in the Twin Cities. Walz has repeatedly professed his devotion to these “neighbors” (“[a]ll across Minnesota, people are stepping up to help their neighbors who are being unjustly and unlawfully targeted…[w]e will re-establish a sense of safety for our neighbors…we take care of our neighbors and we look out for those in the shadows of life”), as has Frey (“we stand rock solid with our neighbors”). What a euphemistic crock.
They may not look as unneighborly as Raul Gutierrez, but I doubt that Governor Walz would want to take any of them in at the Governor’s official residence on Sumimt Avenue in St. Paul, or that Walz’s actual neighbors on either side of the residence would be too thrilled if he did.
