It is two years to the day since Hamas launched its invasion of Israel. The object was murder, torture, and the completion of the Nazis’ project of genocide. Support for Hamas’s project by the Nazis among us has served to clarify where we are today — not in a good place.
In his foreword to The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, William Shirer called “the capture of most of the confidential archives of the German government and all its branches” at the end of World War II “an event unique in history.” Among other things, the Nazis meticulously documented their efforts to accomplish “the Final Solution” with Germanic thoroughness, yet they sought to shield them from public view. They wanted to keep them secret.
On October 23, 2023, the IDF screened some 43 minutes of scenes of murder, torture, and decapitation from Hamas’s October 7 invasion of southern Israel. Drawing on raw videos from the terrorists’ bodycams, the IDF screened the footage for members of the press. The screening brought Shirer’s comments to mind. Hamas too sought to document its efforts to exterminate the Jewish people.
Hamas is a little more frank about the project than the Nazis. Hamas proclaims the mission in its charter. Yet the IDF found the screening necessary “to dispel what a spokesperson characterized as ‘a Holocaust-denial-like phenomenon happening in real-time,” as doubts have been raised around the world about some of the most horrific of Hamas’s atrocities” (I’m quoting from the Times of Israel story linked immediately below). “Why does a person take a GoPro [to such an attack]?” an IDF spokesman asked. He answered his own question: “Because he’s proud of what he does.”
The Times of Israel reported on the screening in “IDF shows foreign press Hamas bodycam videos, photos of murder, torture, decapitation”. The New York Post also covered it in “IDF shares harrowing videos, photos of Hamas attack.”
The bloodlust was patent. This is what the Nazis in our midst have marched and rioted to support.
In October 2023 I posted the video of one Hamas squad at work during the invasion. The video derives from the IDF’s X feed. It is disgusting. Hamas’s bloodlust permeates it. It is patent. The video concludes with the death of the murderer starring in it. In that sense it has a happy ending.
