Patel Sues the Atlantic | Power Line

FBI Director Kash Patel has sued the Atlantic magazine and its notorious reporter Sarah Fitzpatrick for libel. Fitzpatrick and the Atlantic alleged that Patel is in danger of losing his job because of excessive drinking and absenteeism.

I assume the story was false–just another hit piece from a vicious Democratic Party propaganda outlet–but the complaint is vented in federal court in Washington, D.C. I can’t imagine why Patel’s lawyers would do that. Who is the chief judge of that district? The infamous James Boasberg. A large majority of the district’s judges are Democratic appointees, and–worse–the idea that a Republican FBI Director could get a fair trial from a D.C. jury is a nonstarter.

Unless I am missing something, this case, however meritorious it may be, is dead on arrival.
