Unsettling all family business | Power Line

The protest of the “resistance” at the Whipple Federal Building in the Twin Cities on April 11 culminated in an assault on TPUSA reporter Savanah Hernandez. The assault was captured on video. Among the perpetrators were “suburban dad” Chris Ostroushko and daughter Paige. “Suburban mom” DeYanna Ostroushko was in the mix as well. I call them the family that flays together.

Chris was of course featured in the January 27 Star Tribune profile “This suburban dad’s rant became touchpoint of ICE opposition.” The profile by Rachel Hutton constituted one small part of the Star Tribune’s daily support of “ICE opposition” during Operation Metro Surge.

Although Metro Surge has ended, the Star Tribune has kept up the campaign. It opposes the enforcement of immigration law. It supports illegal immigration. That’s what it’s all about.

Only yesterday the Star Tribune ran yet another profile of a supporter of the “resistance” while referring tactfully in passing to “volunteers” providing multifarious assistance “to people hiding from federal agents.”

Note — the “people hiding from federal agents” are otherwise known as “illegal aliens.”

The local authorities are themselves part of the resistance along with the Star Tribune. Like Bull Connor and his ilk, they are worse than worthless.

The Whipple Federal Building sits on federal property. I believe that federal jurisdiction extends to this matter. Indeed, we know the FBI is on the case. Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon has herself said so.

It takes time to put the evidence together, assemble a case, and present the case to a grand jury. I believe that a federal grand jury will in due course hand up indictments of those who participated in the assault on Ms. Hernandez. The indictments will give us all an opportunity to mull over the questions raised by the conduct of the Ostroushkos, the “resistance,” the Star Tribune, and the local authorities.

In the meantime, “suburban dad” Chris Ostroushko plays the victim. He seems to be thinking about departing from the United States. Maybe the United States Attorney should charge him on a federal complaint or information while it works up the case for a grand jury. We don’t want the “suburban dad” to drop out of sight and become one of “the people hiding from federal agents.”

Let me explain. This is what we call “evidence.” It’s evidence of intent and premeditation.

Here it is minus the high-pitched instruments of torture when blown directly into the human ear.

Daughter Paige has the attitude of Bill Ayers. She’s guilty as hell, free as a bird. Isn’t America a great country? Well, she’ll never go quite that far.

Let’s not forget about mom.
